Encourage wildlife on your allotment plot or in your garden - with space and habitats for mammals, insects, birds and amphibians.

Both allotments and gardens provide valuable habitats for wildlife - spaces for them to live, shelter, feed and breed.

In fact the size of all UK allotments and gardens added together is greater than the area of the national nature reserves. So you can really make a difference.

All allotment and garden growers know that some wildlife can be pests - but most of their impact can easily be mitigated with simple measures such as netting or cloches.

Most creatures are beneficial - and lovely to look at - so why not encourage them !

You can foster and encourage wildlife by finding space for creatures to live and feed. This could be both on your allotment and at home in the garden.
